ARMOIRE, Hand Rubbed Large Wood Cabinet, Iron Detailing, by Interior Designer

  

This is a fabulous hand rubbed wood armoire by interior designer Rima Kamen along with furniture designer Ron Hines. This was custom made for our new home in 1994 and works beautifully in any living room, den or bedroom. It is very deep and can be used to store all of your entertaining pieces and/or your stereo equipment. The interior has a pull out shelf for the older TVs and can just be unscrewed.

It will be a wonderful addition to any home. I believe it is made out of oak, but I'm not quite sure. The finish has a beige/taupe look that goes well with both modern, antique or Asian furniture and adds that designer eclectic look to any room. The two front doors open out to reveal four, matching finish shelves, creating a fifth shelf at the bottom, The front of the doors are made of the same wood and have a large Asian-flavored round pull to open the doors. The top has iron detailing that can be removed if the armoire is too high for your room.

The bottom also has matching iron detailing. The shelves are stationary and cannot be removed. The armoire has just been sitting in our office for 23 years and is rarely used other than for storage.
