The wood is varnished and other than some minor surface splitting, indentations and marks from prior usage as well as some minor staining, it appears in excellent condition for its age.

The cast iron has some mottling and minor surface rust and has marks from previous usage. This item has a slight turn to it when you put it flat on the floor, not sure if some of the wood is bent (see 5th and 6th pic) from years of usage but besides that all else is fine.
