This is a Vintage Old Iron and Wood Hunting Spear that comes from the Ifugao Tribal People of the Mountain Provinces of the Philippines The Ifugao name means inhabitant of the known world, earth people, mortals or humans, as distinguished from spirits and deities. Many of the older Ifugao still today continue to live like their ancestors did. Ifugao men hunt rodents, small mammals and wild pigs with spears, which come in three varieties: one which is used as a hunting stick, another with a magically-shaped iron tip reserved for big game, and yet another used for ceremonial dances, which never leaves the village. This is a wonderful vintage Ifugao tribal spear that would be a wonderful addition to your collection as well as your home.
